Smokey House Center is a 5,000 acre year-round classroom, where local disadvantaged teens and other youth learn academic, social, and work-place skills through hands-on farming, forestry and ecological research. All of our products are produced through the work of local teens on our youthwork crews. Our products include: organic vegetables and berries certified by NOFA-VT, naturally-raised grass-fed beef and lamb, naturally-raised pastured pork, turkey, and chicken, wool, maple syrup, natural hardwood charcoal, cut-your-own and pre-cut Christmas trees, and mulch and feed hay. When you purchase a Smokey House product you support local agriculture and provide meaningful work for local young people.
