Also known as distressed flooring, hand scraped flooring, and antique flooring, the manufacturers of this product consider it art as much as flooring! Factory workers painstakingly hand scrape this floor so that each plank has its own personality in texture and tone. Because of this hand crafting process, it takes 12 times longer to produce a hand scraped plank than a plank of solid or engineered bamboo floor. This type of flooring has experienced a surge in popularity in and in the Middle East where renovations tend to be in older, classical buildings that need the look of antique floors.

We are extremely happy with our flooring. We remodeled our bathroom and wanted to use eco-friendly products. I found this flooring on line and the folks at Ambient could not have been more helpful. They sent a sample to the Home Expo designer I was working with. The price and ease of installation - great! They took back surplus product without question (just small restock fee). The flooring is beautiful and so easy to maintain. It is also very durable - have dropped various things and no dings or scratches. Everyone that sees the bathroom, loves the flooring. When I replace my bedroom carpet it will be with this product!!
