Black Japonica™ rice was developed from seed originating in Japan and grown exclusively at Lundberg Family Farms. This field blend grows together on the same plant resulting in a unique mixture of medium grain black and short grain mahogany rice. Black Japonica™ has a mushroom-like nuttiness and subtle sweet spiciness. Use in recipes where a juicier texture is desired, such as stir-fry, stuffing and casseroles.
