This organic and shade grown coffee is produced by small-scale family farmers from Peru's Chanchamayo region. The La Florida cooperative was formed in 1965 with only 100 farms, but today consists of 1200 farms. This coop has provided many needed benefits for these families such as education, better infrastructure, credit, healthcare services, and environmental restoration to this remote corner of the Peruvian jungle.
The farmers have worked diligently to improve their coffee crops and the results are really paying off. This Peru coffee is rich! It has good body, medium acidity, and an excellent aroma. A great coffee any time of day!
