Our loofah sponge is cleaned, washed, dried, then milled to a fairly course grade perfect for scrubbing the body. The course fibres are then soaked overnight in coconut oil to soften them before they make their way into the soap mixture. We have created, and continue to support the local farming of this fruit. Traditionally, the Balinese use the Loofah as a vegetable in its younger state, however, by developing a need for this fruit in its ripened state, we have created a substantial local cash crop; for that we are proud!
