From the markets of the old spice trade we purchase full lengths of cinnamon tree bark. We grind the meter-long sticks to a fine powder. We mix this pleasantly pungent spice with coconut oil, heat slightly, then strain to create a smooth, non-abrasive oil. We add this rich, reddish brown oil to the soap mixture at the end of the process as a "superfatting" agent. In actuality, superfatting leaves some of the oils un-SOAP-afied resulting in a creamy moisturizing bar while still maintaining the amazing cleansing properties of a soap made with coconut oil.

Used this soap in Hawaii and loved it!

My husband and I were on vacation in Maui and stayed in a Bali styled B&B which among other amenities had these fabulous outdoor tropical showers for each room. The soap provided was this luscious creamy soap that enveloped you in the soothing and at the same time exhilarating scent of cinnamon and clove. We laughed that we spent 5 minutes bathing and another 10 minutes just filling our senses with the experience. Before we left I saved a soap package with the e-mail address and then ordered from home on a rainy Seattle day. When it arrived I was so excited to relive just a few miniutes of our vacation in the tropics. I would highly recommend the product and have given it for gifts as well. The customer service from this company is very personal and helpful as I had no idea about International shipping costs and how to best optimize my ordering.
